Acknowledging CIVIT in publications

The Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies (CIVIT) is funded by Tampere University, and is evaluated based on the scientific outcomes of the research that benefited from the infrastructure. The benefit can be obtained in the form of equipment and additionally through the help of CIVIT staff, who maintain, develop, and assist in its use. To guarantee maintaining the infrastructure in the future, all academic publications and theses that benefited from the infrastructure must acknowledge the role of CIVIT. 

Step 1: Add the following text to the publication’s Acknowledgement section:

This work was carried out with the support of Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies (CIVIT) research infrastructure, Tampere University, Finland.

  • Publications without Acknowledgement section should use a footnote in the article title page.
  • If the publication supports hyperlinks, embed the URL “https://civit.fi/” for the CIVIT name.


Step 2: List CIVIT as Facilities/Equipment for your publication in TUNICRIS. This helps us track CIVIT’s contribution to the research community.
