The Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies (CIVIT), in collaboration with DXOMARK is pleased to announce the opening of the CIVIT-DXOMARK Joint Lab: a new infrastructure facility featuring state-of-the-art equipment and software for image quality assessment and sensor profiling.

13:30 – 15:00 | Tutorial, Image Quality Evaluation: From Fundamentals to emerging challenges. Hoang-Phi Nguyen, DXOMARK Image specialist and product owner of the Analyzer imaging solution will present how DXOMARK Analyzer solutions are used for IQ basic testing to more advanced and challenging topics including HDR imaging and depth systems evaluation.

The CIVIT Innovation Cluster Organization (CIVIT-ICO), co-funded by Business Finland and private companies, is established to develop and offer commercial test and experimentation services in the fields of imaging and visual technologies. The Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies (CIVIT) at Tampere University has announced a long-term partnership with DXOMARK, a global leader in camera and image quality assessment solutions. The collaboration, sets around the state-of-the-art image quality assessment lab in Tampere, enhances CIVIT’s capabilities to deliver high quality test and experimentation services for the region’s vibrant imaging ecosystem.
The partnership strengthens Tampere University’s position in imaging, which is one of the university’s strategic research areas. The new world-class image quality assessment facility is funded by the Sustainable Growth Programme for Finland through Business Finland and the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

Parking and Arriving: Hervanta Campus is about 7 kilometres from Tampere city centre. Several buses and tram number 3 drive between the City Centre and Hervanta. Visitors may also park their cars in the car parks that are located next to and in front of the parking garage as well as in the parking garage in Korkeakoulunkatu.
