Demos at Tiedon Valoa -event

CIVIT will have an interesting Motion Capture -demo at Tiedon Valoa event in Tampere-talo on Saturday, January 25, 2020. We will be using our Optitrack cameras to capture the movement of a dancer. The movement will be transformed to realistic animations on virtual characters in real time. The demo will be carried out in collaboration with UniDance, which is the official dance organization of Tampere University.

Naturalpoint Optitrack is one of the world leading optical motion capture systems used in the cinema and gaming industries. The same system can also be used to track anything in sub-millimeter accuracy in spaces in the scale of 10×10 meters. CIVIT is equipped with a 16 camera Optitrack motion capture system, which can also be deployed elsewhere with relative ease.

In addition to our MoCap demo, there will be several interesting demonstrations from Tampere University related to AR/VR, IoT, 5G, robotics, gaming and so on… We warmly welcome you to come and see the demos in Tampere-talo on Saturday – the event is free of charge!
